Remote Assessment in Autonomous Transport Solutions by Scania
Autonomous transport systems need to be monitored and remote operators must be able to interact with the vehicles. If your solution can help us to remotely assess autonomous vehicles, shoot us a message!
Scania is in the midst of the transformation from a classic vehicle manufacturer to a supplier of sustainable transport systems. We firmly believe that autonomous vehicles and intelligent management systems form the key cornerstones for future transport solutions. With the help of our well-advanced, cutting edge autonomous technology, advanced sensors and wireless connectivity we are continuously developing new solutions for transport operators all around the world. Together, we can help transport operators in optimizing and orchestrating the vehicle flow of entire autonomous fleets and remotely monitor autonomous vehicles. If you are working in the autonomous vehicle industry or are a professional in teleoperation or fleet network operations, let us hear about you!

Our vision is to have a complete solution for autonomous vehicles and transport systems, where remote operators can monitor and interact with the autonomous system. The remote operators could be operating even 100 vehicles and to do this the operators need innovative tools and equipment allowing the operator to confidently and efficiently take a decision on events happening somewhere else.
To achieve our vision, the remote operators need an assessment of the vehicles. Remote assessment is about what the remote operator of the autonomous vehicles can see to have a good understanding of current situations of the vehicles. Let us know about you if you can help us to achieve our vision of autonomous transport systems!
How video streams and perception views can be displayed to a remote operator? What other kind of views the operator could benefit from?
We need to have Intelligence in the system to identify which vehicles or situations a remote operator should be most interested in, at a specific moment in time. These situations can include e.g. unidentified objects on the road and crossings. How do we select the right situations and involve the remote operator in the process?
Scania is a world leading provider of transport solutions. Together with our partners and customers we are driving the shift towards a sustainable transport system.

Combient exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. I wish every company we engaged with had set up something like this -- not only was the process direct and transparent, it was fast. Really impressive.
