The increasing complexity of our product offerings and the growing demand for tailored recommendations in retail environments present a challenge. As customers expect more personalized and seamless experiences, traditional sales support methods often fall short, resulting in missed opportunities and suboptimal customer journeys. The rise of AI in sales enablement, combined with the rapid digitalization of retail, is driving a shift towards intelligent, data-driven solutions that can adapt to customer needs in real time. We are motivated to address this challenge to improve sales performance, enhance customer satisfaction, and maintain our competitive edge in a rapidly evolving market. We are looking for startups or scale-ups with proven AI capabilities, experience in retail or guided selling, and readiness to pilot their solution with us. Relevant use cases include intelligent product recommendation engines, interactive sales assistants, and real-time customer support tools designed to simplify complex purchase decisions, collect sales insights, and reduce manual workload. The focus is on supporting the buying journey and sales support up until the point of sale.

This provides direct scaling potential, access to real market data, and the opportunity to co-develop innovative sales models together with our brands Husqvarna and Gardena. In the long term, startups would play the role of strategic partners, delivering the technology that enables guided selling, bundling, and configurator capabilities.

Guided selling Consumers

AI-driven tools that capture customer needs and enable salespeople (and possibly consumers) to create personalized, flexible, and attractive product and service bundles (e.g., mower + service plan + accessories).

AI Sales Assistant / Conversational Support

Digital tools, such as AI sales assistants or chatbots, to support both salespeople and consumers throughout the buying journey, providing real-time guidance and recommendations.

Cross-channel Data and Insights

Centralized capture of what is asked for, offered, and converted, enabling data-driven improvements in sales efficiency across all channels (online and in-store).
