We at Husqvarna Group are always eager to bring innovation to our customers’ gardens and are now looking for partners to help us develop the next generation of autonomous robotic systems for residential lawn care. We want to partner with solution providers that can enhance our offering in autonomous products that can both sense and nourish our customers’ yards without extra hassle.
Opportunity overview
Today’s robotic mowers offer good automation for cutting grass but sometimes fall short in intelligent lawn health and care. As demand from private homeowners grows for smarter, more sustainable solutions that reduce the need for manual labor, Husqvarna Group is eager to develop innovative offerings to meet this need. We believe that with the rise of computer vision, sophisticated sensors, and low-energy robotics, the conditions are ideal for transforming how lawns are analysed and maintained. We want to bring to life a new generation of assistive robots that not only cut the grass but understand its needs and treat it accordingly, with minimal user involvement.
Currently, tasks like fertilizing, watering, and aerating are handled manually, which can be inefficient, inconsistent, and most important of all, poorly timed. Our vision is to introduce such functions into existing autonomous platforms and to create intelligent robots capable of assessing grass health in real time and taking required action. We’re looking for startups and scaleups with capabilities in grass diagnostics, AI-powered vision systems, or robotic actuators for efficient treatment delivery. Use cases may, but are not limited to, automated irrigation in response to detected dryness, fertilization triggered by nutrient deficiencies, and aeration.
Your opportunity with Husqvarna
Collaborating with Husqvarna Group means access to an industry leader in robotic lawn care, a strong R&D foundation, and the chance to test and pilot solutions in real environments. Startups might benefit from business model co-creation, commercial scale-up potential, and long-term integration into a premium consumer ecosystem.
