Opportunity overview

Today’s robotic mowers primarily rely on app-based or pre-programmed routines, limiting how naturally users can communicate their needs. As consumer expectations grow towards seamless experiences; smart, voice-enabled, and behavior-aware products are becoming the industry standard. We see a clear opportunity to evolve our machines into more proactive and responsive companions. We believe that technologies such as voice assistance, gesture recognition, and perhaps even AI-powered behavior prediction are starting to become mature enough for real-world deployment. 

We see that systems that use a combination of voice commands, gestures, and user behavior to enhance how our robots interpret and act upon user intent will yield the best result for a seamless and intuitive interaction. Our vision is a holistic interaction model, either as an integrated system or accessory-based modules, that can understand complex commands, anticipate actions, and report status clearly. We’re looking for startups and scaleups with experience and stellar know-how in human-machine interaction, embedded AI, or hardware interfaces to join us in building and piloting this next-generation system. Use cases can include, but are not limited to, hands-free commands, localized task execution, and behavior-based scheduling.
