Stora Enso’s Paper division provides best-in-class paper solutions for print media and office use. The wide selection covers papers made from virgin wood and recycled fibres. Our main customer groups include publishers, retailers, printing houses, merchants, converters, and office suppliers. 

Stora Enso is interested in finding digital solutions that would improve the current ways of delivering technical customer services remotely. 

Theme Description

We look for new ideas to make remote technical customer services easily available and more collaborative externally and internally. It’s important for us to be able to deliver technical “know-how” to different converters and end customer segments without having the service team nearby. We want to serve customers instantly by leveraging the technical customer service team’s full “know-how”, even if the customer and the team collaborate remotely. Our customers should be able to feel the closeness of the service team without being nearby.

Opportunity Overview

Operations Equipment Efficiency (OEE) becomes more and more important in a competitive environment – it is survival of the fittest in a oversupplied sector like printing industry. 

Many printers still work more in an artisanal than industrial way and lack the know-how of machine monitoring, root cause analysis etc. 

Stora Enso doesn’t deliver printer solutions, but we are sure that as a paper supplier we can bring plenty of value a paper in this field.

Instead of trouble shooting in a case by case way we would like to monitor performance remotely and flag any potential issues before they arise. We want to easily utilize machine and production data for improving OEE.

“Productivity of the customer printing process is continuously improving”

Printers with general performance issues are asking for a support to increase the overall efficiency of their equipment. We want to help them also from distance. 

Obtaining OEE-data, making analysis and insights and giving professional advices remotely without visiting customer sites – all this will create better OEE and business value for the customer.
