We are looking for convenient and safe multimodal solutions with smart user interfaces for maintenance technicians to be used on the field in challenging circumstances. Typically, the technicians have only limited space and their hands busy with working equipment, and simultaneously the technicians need to interact with mobile devices.

Technicians around the globe learn by doing but the learned knowledge does not flow effortlessly. We are looking for solutions that not only help a single technician to be more efficient but also increase the overall cumulation of maintenance knowledge.
Harsh Environment
Elevator engines and other overhauled equipment can be located in extreme locations. For example, noise can complicate applying voice-controlled solutions, cramped working conditions limit possible gestures and grease hinders using touch screens. Help us in tackling the challenges different environmental factors bring.
Safety
Necessary safety equipment due to harsh environment limits the use of certain devices. Our technicians may wear for example cut protected gloves, hearing protection and goggles. We at KONE look for solutions that don’t hinder the safety of our personnel or customers.
