For this reason, we continuously scan the field of new material and component production innovations to see what is out there and work with the best-in-class material startups to integrate new solutions into our safety product portfolio.

Innovative materials for seat belt components

We are interested in hearing from startups working in the field of new materials that can be applied to the production of Autoliv products at an industrial scale. We are looking for alternatives to replace aluminum, steel, and other metals used in our seatbelt components. Could your material be applied to save more lives?

Raw material innovation

Today, we mainly use materials widely available in the market. However, the market is changing rapidly towards materials with lower cost and better CO2 footprint but still suitable for automotive requirements with high strength and good formability. We are interested in hearing about new materials for the automotive industry.
