Opportunity overview
Across SKF factories, production employees increasingly need access to HR self‑services, PX tools, incident reporting, and internal communication. Today this is enabled mainly via Microsoft licenses combined with strong authentication and 90‑day password expiry, which is expensive, complex, and not designed for workers who only log in occasionally. As a result, the digital HR system does not provide an optimal employee experience, and scaling and digitalizing HR and related processes remains both costly and complex. We want to change this by exploring new ways of providing simple, secure digital access that fit the realities of shop‑floor work.
Currently, access is handled through traditional enterprise identity and access management, requiring standard licenses and passwords that are too heavy for this user group. Our vision is a solution where factory workers can frictionlessly access all relevant digital tools through an experience tailored to infrequent, on‑the‑go usage, while still complying with SKF’s security, privacy, and IT architecture. We are looking for startups and scale‑ups with innovative approaches to identity and access for frontline workers, strong usability, and the ability to integrate with our ServiceNow and Microsoft‑based environment. Typical use cases include securely logging in to HR self‑service portals, submitting and tracking incidents, accessing payslips and contracts, updating personal information, and interacting with centralized PX services without needing constant support from local staff.
